A Dream Is A Gift Meant To Be Opened

http://www.dreamstime.com/royalty-free-stock-image-opening-special-present-box-gift-magical-effects-lights-image33373856You were born with the gift of dreaming and at one time in your life probably had a lot of fun with it. Then maybe like so many people, you started to “grow up”.  You hit that point where it felt like it was time to get more serious about your life and “be more realistic”. That’s when you put this amazing gift back in its little box as if you were too old to play anymore.

Decisions became based on common sense, from a place of thought and reasoning vs. a place of feeling and intuition. You can’t dream big on common sense and being more realistic is just plain boring. It’s a toxic combination in dream work.

Common sense, or fear in disguise, is the exact opposite of faith and the worst enemy of dreams come true. The phrase “be more realistic” screams limitation and lack, it’s code for “don’t get your hopes up pal.”

Many people never allow themselves to dream because they fear what might happen, or worse, what might NOT happen. They become a slave to fear and do nothing. Nothing guarantees failure more than doing nothing.

Once a fear is developed and reinforced, it becomes difficult to dream beyond it. The dream making process is shut down before it even gets started. Thoughts of failure, disappointment and what others will think hold too many people back from what they truly dream of. It’s so tragic to me.

Can you imagine what the world would be like if everyone had the courage to go for their big dream? Just think…

…there may be a person who dreams of becoming a doctor, but too afraid to pursue it. They fear they won’t have the determination or stamina to make it. They could be the doctor that discovers a cure for cancer….

…Or maybe there’s a person that dreams of being a spiritual teacher but fears what their family will think. They might be the person that shifts enlightenment to help thousands of people live a more purposeful life…

…How about the next great artist, musician, author, engineer, scientist…so many gifts just waiting to emerge but all held back by fear. Every person is here to make a contribution to impact the world in a brighter, better way. I’m determined to help as many as I can make that big dream come true.

So, what is being more realistic really costing you? Do you have a dream tucked away in your someday box? What gifts do you have waiting to emerge? When would now be the right time to release them?

There’s a story of a man who arrived in heaven.  As he toured Heaven seeing all that it had to offer, he noticed a large building in the distance. It was as tall as his eye could see. When he asked what was in the building, an Angel replied it was of no concern to him now. This made the man very curious. He could not stop wondering what was in the building. He couldn’t take the guessing, he ran to see what was inside. Once inside, he saw rows and rows of shelves stacked as high as he could see. Each shelf was lined with thousands of white boxes, each tied with a pretty red bow. The man quickly noticed each box had a name tag.  He ran to find out if there was a box with his name on it.  The man feverishly climbed the shelf and found his box.  The Angel appeared and when the man asked what was in the box, the Angel sadly replied it was of no concern to him now. The Angel tried to stop him, explaining it would only make him sad to see inside the box.  The man’s curiosity was too strong, he opened the box anyway.  Inside he found…his amazing gift-all the dreams he never pursued. And now, it was too late for him.

Life goes by very quickly when you’re having fun but it is much too long when you’re not living your dream. Every moment is so precious. Why not make your heaven on earth and manifest what has already been destined for you?

What could be worse than wondering many years from now what would have happened had you given it a shot?  Don’t leave your dreams tucked away in your someday box. Release them, proclaim and own what is already yours. Feel beyond your fears and take a step toward your dream.

Your dreams were given to you as a gift. All you have to do is ask, with desire, and they are sure to come true. Anyone can dream and anyone can imagine what might be if they only allow themselves to. Will you?

Relationships, Another Key in Dream Work

heart keyIt’s important to surround yourself with people that believe in possibilities and-more importantly who believe in you. They say you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with-if they’re not dreamers, chances are you don’t have the support you need as you make your way through your dream work.

If you’re like most dreamers, you have people in your life that try to influence your decisions. Telling you to play it safe, be more realistic, always pointing out why something won’t work or how it’s failed for so many people. Those are not the people to share your dream work with. It’s time to build your Dream Team.

Just like a business has an IT support team to tackle problems and find solutions to keep things running smoothly, your dream will need the same type of support. You can customize your team qualities to suit your needs.

Step 1:

Create a list of qualities needed to be part of your Dream Team.
What type of support do you need? What qualities are required to be part of your Dream Team? Inspiring, daring, successful, positive, risk taker, creative, adventurer, anything is possible…

Unfortunately not everyone in your direct circle will fit the requirements for your dream team. No worries, you don’t have to know everyone personally, in fact, they don’t even have to be alive! You can learn from their example, their energy and their spirit for making things happen. Read their biography, watch videos of them speaking, read their quotes. If it’s a family member that has passed, revisit happy memories or journal the lessons they taught you. (as you may have guessed, Walt is on my Dream Team!)

You may notice new people that come into your life with the qualities you listed. You’ve put a message out to the universe to bring the right people in your life. Doing this exercise will help you identify them. The universe will support you by helping you connect with the people you need to support your dream.

Step 2:

Create a list of people that fit the requirements and needs of your Dream Team.
Who comes to mind for limitless possibilities? Or maybe already lives a magical life? Is there someone you can think of that has already accomplished what you want to do? Who is your biggest supporter? Who is your social butterfly? Who inspires you to reach higher?

Step 3:

When you need help, support, solutions, encouragement, etc-take it to your Dream Team. We all need support and surrounding yourself with the right people is how to get it. You’ll find the inspiration and encouragement you need when you build your own Dream Team.

I hope to be part of your Dream Team. If I can help you advance in your dream work, or if you want deeper clarity about your dream, apply for your free Dream Awakening session.

Happy Thoughts Make You Fly

http://www.dreamstime.com/royalty-free-stock-photos-colorful-balloons-blue-sky-image19627388Happy thoughts make you fly. They also open you up to attract what you need in your dream work….so get happy! Here are a few quick and easy ways to add happiness to your day.

1) Remember

For a quick mood booster, think back to a time when you felt really happy, joyful, maybe even giddy! Really put yourself back in that moment and remember how you felt. Your mind doesn’t know the difference between now and then, so you’ll benefit just as much from all the happy chemicals released in your system as you did back when the moment really happened.

2) Make a “Love List”

Journal a list of things you love that make you happy. Spending time with someone you care about, a hot cup of tea, a walk outside, snuggling with a blanket reading a good book, taking a hot bath, listening to your favorite song. How many things can you put on your list? Add to it every day. Choose 1-3 things to add to your daily list of to-dos. The more time you spend doing what you love, the happier you will be. When you’re not having a great day, you can easily pick something from your list to lift your spirits quickly.

3) Whether you’re at work, home, walking, driving, there’s always opportunity to find joy.

As you go through your day take notice of what makes you happy, brings a smile to your face-what makes you feel like a kid again? Is it the sunshine, watching a puppy play, a song on the radio, call from a good friend, hearing a funny joke? Make an effort to be aware of every good, happy thing happening around you. With that kind of focus, how could you not have a great day?

Business and Happy Vibes

When you play and have fun, magic happens in your business and your life.

Have you found yourself spinning your wheels, hard-focused on your to-do list, chasing the clock and wondering when things will change?

How much time are you dedicating to FUN and PLAY throughout your week? Or do you save it up for the weekend only to end up cleaning and catching up on laundry?

I get it. There’s a lot to do between your home life, family, business. One long list of responsibilities. Taking time off to do something fun seems frivolous right?

WRONG!

It’s all too common for spiritual entrepreneurs to take on the weight of the world. The pressure of wanting to make a difference for others, to create real change, only to end up feeling stuck with your goals at a stand-still because there’s too much to do.

It can feel like everywhere you turn there’s something else you need to take care of leaving you feeling overwhelmed. That feeling is a definite sign that you need a fun break, so your energy can chill out and stop pressing down on you.

Play and having fun has a proven effect on your mindset and your energy. Something so simple and tossed aside as silly and irresponsible.

But truth is, if you’re not having enough fun – you will burnout.

So it’s not irresponsible at all. Enjoying yourself is the best thing you can do for your energy and your business. (otherwise, what is the point??)

Like attracts like-if you feel happy, positive and grateful you’ll attract amazing and positive things that align with your energy.

That means more growth for your goals and your business – plus more joy for you along the way.

Shifting your energy does not have to be complicated!

Here are a few simple tips to ramp up your happy vibe in your business.

Celebrate the positives in your day. You’ll always find what you’re looking for. When you magnify the positives, you see possibilities, feel less limited, experience more energy and bring yourself into better balance. When you feel happier, you dream at a higher level and create more opportunities for yourself. Did you book a new talk? Complete a project you’d been putting off? Sign a new client? Improve your systems? That’s progress worth celebrating! Take a moment to give yourself a high-five. Plan a special treat for yourself to celebrate your wins each week.

Create a just for the fun of it list. Write out things you want to do just for fun. Things you do alone, with friend or family. What did you used to enjoy? What do you want to do again? What new things have you always wanted to try? Who do you love to have fun with? Add these things to your calendar.

Plan things to look forward to. This could be anything big or small, as long as it makes you feel happy, grateful, joyful. Things like coffee with a good friend, playtime with your children, a family hike or an evening out painting with your gal pals while sipping wine. Yes, all of this builds your business. The more you play, the better you feel – the less stress will run your business.

Add more of what you like and enjoy to your life to shift your energy in your business and watch your goals skyrocket.

Play and having more fun opens you up for downloads. You create a vacuum for assistance from the universe. The right people come into your life at the right time, resources you need appear out of thin air, doors open and everything in your business will start to align effortlessly.

It’s time to magnify your happy vibe and play your way to success in your business!

Dreamers Are Special people

http://www.dreamstime.com/stock-photography-dreamers-wanted-phrase-typed-piece-paper-pinned-to-cork-notice-board-image39230882“I have a dream.” Certainly one of the famous quotes of our time. One man spoke those words and started a movement that changed our world forever. Imagine the courage and determination it took Martin Luther King Jr. to proclaim his dream to the world with so many odds against him.

That’s the power of a dreamer fueled by passion. They become unstoppable. Dreamers cannot rest once a dream in their heart begins to stir. Their passion grows and transformation begins. This passion turns darkness to light, hatred to love, desperation to inspiration. It creates miracles.

Simply put, dreamers are inspiration in motion.

Walt Disney, Albert Einstein, Steven Spielberg, John Lennon, (add your name here)-just a few dreamers that have inspired the world in amazing and beautiful ways.

When a dreamer steps into their calling, the world becomes a better place to live in, amazing things happen. Their fixed passion for the causes they believe in create positive change and influence others. The world needs more dreamers to step into their calling.

Unfortunately, many dreamers have not found the way to their dream yet. They wander through their life searching for deeper meaning, feeling lost or flat, uncertain why they feel the way they do. They have passionate visions but many times no direction to help them transform it into their reality.

Regardless, no matter what may not be going their way, a dreamer can’t help but feel deep down there must be more to life. They have an intuitive knowing they are meant for something great. This is what keeps them on “the hunt” for something bigger. And thank goodness because they have so much to offer the world!

I understand that dreamers are special people. I absolutely love how they’re wired. Many dreamers are misunderstood at times, but I totally get what they’re about. So of course my passion is helping dreamers unlock their someday box and help them see how to make their big dreams come true.

Belief Turns The Key!

Unlock your someday box with the courage to believe.

“The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease for ever to be able to do it.”-J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan

Without belief, your dream work will all be for nothing. No matter how much you dream of something, if you don’t believe in the possibility it can happen, you’ll never bring it to life.

Walt Disney lived his life as a grand adventure, dreaming big dreams, with no interest in being “sensible” or playing it safe.  Although his father insisted he stop dreaming and get a “real job” in a factory, he ignored his father’s advice and followed his heart. And thank goodness! The world continues to be delighted by his dream, his legend lives on.

As a young man he arrived in Hollywood with little more than pocket-change, the clothes on his back, and a dream.  Always believing anything was possible, he focused on dreams rather than obstacles.  He stayed true to his credo – Dream – Believe – Dare – Do.

What worked for Walt, can work for you.

The thing I love most about Disney movies is the good guy always triumphs even against great odds and everyone lives happily ever after.

These themes reflect Walt’s belief in a magical world where dreams really do come true. It’s not always easy, it takes determination and persistence, but anything is possible with the right belief to back it up.

That theme of Dream —> Believe —> Dare —> Do is what my business was built on. It’s how I approach all things in my life.

I believe we live in a magical world and your dream really can come true.

Many dreamers I work with want to believe their dream can come true, but unfortunately they’ve had so many things happen in their life that have led them to believe otherwise. They are filled with resistance and fueled by fear which keeps them stuck. They run low on possibility thinking and question whether they can accomplish what they dream of.

It’s not really that they doubt their dream can come true, they doubt whether it can come true for them.

Self-limiting beliefs have take over and cause doubt and behavior that does not support your dream. If you have tried and failed many times, a pattern of starting, striving and then crashing or giving up you may be running low on how possible what you want feels.

The good thing is while you have fear, you also have courage.

Yes, you can have both at the same time. Fear may be what stops you but courage is what keeps you hard at it.

No matter what may not be going right for you, if you tap into the courage to be daring it will drive you to go for your big dreams again and again.

Fear is not something you are born with, it’s taught, learned over time. It’s a belief given to you by others and it’s a way of thinking that will never serve you in your dream work.

Some fears won’t come out until you’re closer to reaching a threshold. That means the closer you get to the next step or level in your dream work, the more probable it is that a limiting belief will rear its ugly head.

Learning how to identify and eliminate limiting beliefs is a vital part of the dream work process.

They’re sneaky, manipulative and conniving with an agenda that does not serve your progress or happiness. Much like a villain in a Disney movie, they mislead you or trick you into a trap that keeps you from your dream. But like every great Disney movie, there is a happy ending for you-all you need is the belief that anything is possible and the courage to pursue your dream.

Dream work is not about being sensible, playing it safe or being realistic, like Walt has proven, it’s living with the belief that anything is possible and daring to do whatever it takes to make it happen! Stay true to anything is possible for YOU.

I’m here to help you make it happen.
